Arrival

When driving to the event, please enter at Tram Road and Four Oaks Boulevard.

Parking

• If parking lots are full, you may park along the sides of the road on School House Road, Four Oaks Blvd, or in any state agency parking lot along Shumard Oaks Blvd.

7:00 a.m. – Registration and Check In
8:00 a.m. – 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk
9:00 a.m. – 8K and 5K Races Start – view race maps online
10:00 a.m. – K-9 Team Demonstration
10:30 a.m. – Awards Presentation

Virtual Run – $15

Register and pay at http://www.raceit.com/DoggieDashVirtualRun and then Register for our virtual run at Endomondo and post your results there between March 15^th and March 17^th!  Top three times for the 5K will win bragging rights and a prized Doggie Dash medal and mug! So register at raceit.com, let us know your shirt size (we’ll mail your shirt) and then train to run your best time, wherever you are and let us know how you did by recording your time on Endomondo.

Thank you for supporting the K-9 Tracking Teams, K-9 Drug Interdiction Units and Dog Obedience Training Programs giving shelter dogs a second chance.

Early Packet Pickup:

• FOR DC EMPLOYEES: Friday, March 15th, 2013, 12 Noon at the Carlton Bldg in the lobby area of the Gadsden Street entrance..
• FOR EVERYONE: Thursday, March 14th, 2013: Capital City Runners at 1866 Thomasville Road (located next to Red Elephant in mid-down) in Tallahassee from 4 PM to 7 PM.
• FOR EVERYONE: Friday, March 15th, 2013: The YMCA at SouthWood from 4 PM to 7 PM.

Check-In, Race Day Registration, and Race Day Packet Pickup:

Check-in and day-of registration and packet pick-up begins at 7 AM.

There will be four tables to facilitate check-in, day-of registration, and day-of packet pickup: one each for the 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk, the 5K Race, and the 8K Race and one for Pre-Registered runners.

Packets and shirts will be available on a first-come-first-serve basis to those who did not pre-register.

Hotel Information:

The Corrections Foundation has secured a block of pet-friendly rooms for $55/night at La Quinta Inn on Apalachee Parkway, less than five miles from the site of the 3rd Annual DC Doggie Dash.

To reserve a room call 1-800-642-4239 and use Confirmation Code 0641BRVAKZ to get the $55 special rate. Rates are available for arrival on March 15th and departure on March 16th.

The block rates have expired, but you can still reserve a room! Also, if you’re a DC employee ask for the preferred government rate at $65/night.
