Corrections Foundation Staff

Due to a serious illness which required me to have surgery performed at Shands Medical Hospital in Gainesville, my supervisors thought enough of me to request assistance from the Corrections Foundation.

This surgery required me to be hospitalized for four (4) days, and even after discharge from the hospital I was unable to travel back to Tallahassee for another three (3) days.

Assistance from the Foundation enabled my husband and son to stay at a nearby hotel to care for me during my stay in the hospital and upon my release.

Without the Foundation’s assistance, it would have been a financial hardship on my family and something else to worry about.

I cannot express the gratitude I have for such wonderful co-workers and their generous donations which allowed the foundation to assist me and my family.

It is people like the members in the foundation that make life’s misfortunes a lot easier to cope and deal with, and for that I’ll always have gratitude in my heart and will continue to be a member as long as I’m employed at the Department of Corrections!
