Mike Manguso Retiring from Governor’s Office
Michael Manguso, longtime staffer of the Governor’s Office Policy and Budget, is retiring from his job as policy chief of the public safety unit, where he worked under three governors. He previously spent almost 30 years with the Department of Corrections. Replacing him as policy chief is Jason Welty, who joined the unit in February as a senior analyst for juvenile justice issues. Welty earned his masters of public affairs from Indiana University.
Staff in Central Office may also remember Mike Manguso as the husband of Bobbi Manguso, who retired two years ago. Mike and Bobbi have always been strong supporters and advocates of corrections – his departure is a loss.
