Corrections Foundation Helps Buy FDC New K9
Most of you are familiar with our Employee Assistance Program that has provided over $6.5 million to over 5,700 Florida Department of Corrections’ officers and staff.
Many of you may not know the additional services we provide, including serving as a fiduciary for donations that allow us to buy needed items for FDC, including vehicles, GPS collars, computers, and …dogs.
We most recently purchased a new K9 – Alf – for the Canine Interdiction Unit, who will assist in detecting contraband in facilities.
Here’s a brief video showing Alf in action and how the Corrections Foundation has helped FDC in the past.
