Today is #GivingTuesday, a day created in 2012 to encourage people to do good and that has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.
An easy way to think of #GivingTuesday is the non-profit equivalent of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, though instead of buying something, you're giving (though if you prefer to buy something to support the Corrections Foundation, you can do so in the Corrections Foundation's online store).
The Corrections Foundation is participating in #GivingTuesday and we invite you to participate as well by making a donation to the Corrections Foundation.
Over the past 22 years, the Corrections Foundation has provided over $8.7 million to more than 9,700 FDC officers, employees, and contractors to help them through their worst possible times - critical illnesses, major accidents, natural disasters, and worse.
That's the equivalent of 43% of FDC's labor force.
