The Corrections Foundation and Centurion Health have renewed their partnership in order to support the mission of the Corrections Foundation. The Foundation supports the programs, personnel, and services of the Department of Corrections through contributions and community partnerships in support of FDC's officers and staff.
“The needs of the officers and staff we serve are in as much demand as they ever have been,” said Chris Akins, Executive Director of the Corrections Foundation. “Centurion’s contribution will go a long way in helping the Corrections Foundation support Florida Department of Corrections employees with medical bills or other emergency relief efforts like natural disasters.”
“Corrections professionals are often the unsung heroes of public health and the safety of our communities,” says Centurion Health CEO Steven H. Wheeler. “The Corrections Foundation provides much needed support for FDC employees working in correctional facilities and in service to Florida's probationers. The Foundation is there to assist staff and their families when they are most in need, and we are proud to support their mission.”
Centurion Health is a correctional healthcare company that provides essential services to patients in correctional facilities, state hospitals, clinics, and other community settings. Through partnerships with the Corrections Foundation and other organizations, Centurion supports programs that serve corrections professionals and their local communities.
Beginning in 1996 as a non-profit Direct Support Organization of the FDC, the Corrections Foundation’s program is membership-based and available to all FDC employees, contractors, and those who choose to support FDC officers and staff.
