Florida has a broad public records law. Correspondence sent to the Corrections Foundation via e-mail may be subject to disclosure as a matter of public record. Under Florida law, email addresses are public records. If you do not want your email address released in response to a public records request, do not send electronic mail to this entity. Instead, contact the Corrections Foundation by phone or in writing.
Florida's public records law includes the provision of cost estimates for the production of records. Some of the Corrections Foundation's records must be reviewed for confidential and/or exempt information which will be redacted and produced with the applicable statutory exemptions. The preparation of records includes the review and redacting which occurs subsequent to receipt of payment. Generally, cost estimates can be minimized by greater specificity of the request.
Florida's public records law does not require an agency to create records, give out information from their records, answer questions about their records, perform gratuitous research, reclassify their records into the manner requested, or produce records in a format other than that in which they are maintained.
The Corrections Foundation uses Google Analytics to better understand what pages on our website are most useful to visitors. Information gathered from Google Analytics includes what pages users visit, how long they are on a page, and what pages users enter and exit upon.
